Accessory Tools – Important Note
Posted by Josh on December 22nd, 2009 filed in Accessory Tools, ArchiCAD 13We recently discovered one or two issues with the Roof Accessory object which were introduced in the latest update.
To correct this, we have created a new Interim Release (Build 208). If you notice that your 3D is very slow to generate when you have attached Roof Accessories then you should download this interim release.
To fix these issues we have had to roll back the code to the original version and then add the enhancements to it again, and because of this some of the previous fixes are no longer included.
Here is a summary:
Roof Builder cladding Overhang applies to all edges not just gutter edge is no longer fixed
Roof Builder – Ridge Barge and Barge are different depths is no longer fixed
All other previous fixes have been brought through to this version.
Additional Fixes are:
Roof Accessory causing ArchiCAD to Freeze
Roof Cladding not covering entire roof
Roof Builder – Soffits not showing in 3D
Roof Builder – Missing Barge
Cannot extend Wall Accessories beyond the wall they are attached to

Rapid Details & 3D Profiler Interim Release is Online Now
Posted by Josh on December 22nd, 2009 filed in 3D Profiler, ArchiCAD 13, Development, Rapid DetailsThe Interim Release for 3D Profiler and Rapid Detailer mentioned last week (here) is now online.
Just login and go to My Account – Downloads – Interim Releases to grab the 208 builds.
Please Note: If you own both 3D Profiler and Rapid Details, you will need to install both of the Build 208 interim releases, as they make changes to each other. If you only own one tool which has a build 208 release, then you’ll be fine with just that release.

Interim Release – Rapid Details & 3D Profiler
Posted by Josh on December 17th, 2009 filed in 3D Profiler, Development, Rapid DetailsWe’re just finishing work on a pair of new Interim Releases for the Rapid Detailer and 3D Profiler Tools. We’ve brought the Rapid Detailer up to speed with the enhanced Preset/Profile Management system that we integrated into the Wall Framing and 3D Profiler tools a month or so ago.
Major changes are:
- Presets are Embedded in Detail Elements
- Link to relevent Help articles firectly from within the tool’s interface
- All available presets are loaded in the Preset Files list.
- No need to browse for presets anymore!
- You will, however, need to import presets before you start working with the new system.
- Always save presets to the correct folder (ie. you can’t forget where you saved a preset)
We are planning to have the new releases out early next week, so keep watching the Blog, FaceBook Page, or Twitter to find out as soon as it goes live.

We have big plans for 2010 and decided we should do a little “housework” in preparation for these plans.

In addition to emails we provide a number of other communication methods that you can choose use, these are outlined below.

In appreciation of your time and effort and to encourage you to confirm your information in a timely fashion we are offering an incentive! All those customers who confirm their details prior to Friday 18th December will go in to a draw to win one of 3 prizes of a Cadimage Suite of their choice.
